“Hailing from Scotland, Gloom Is Okay, the musical outlet from Glasgow just dropped their second, eponymous EP featuring five songs of ‘Happy/Sad music for Happy/Sad people’. Musically, it sounds a lot like a less hectic Kyros to me, or an electronic sadboi Steven Wilson. [Gloom is Okay] even brings his own Ninet Tayeb in with Jazz Dey (Modern Sonder) guesting on ‘Pine’. Great mixture of analogue and electronic sounds. Seriously, it’s more than okay!”

“Dark, lyrical themes of repeating behaviour that leads to unhappiness, subtle electronic beats mix with hard riffs and a strong melodic bass line for a dreamy, melancholic sound.”
“Gloom is Okay is a glorious little EP, with lots of beauty and drama packed into its 23 minutes. As Gloom is Okay, Martin and company have done an masterful job creating this exquisite collection of songs, and they should be proud of what they’ve achieved here. He’s an insanely talented songwriter and musician, and I look forward to hearing more from him.”
